An owner of a leasehold land leased out the land to a developer which then build an apartment on the land which the developer then sell the units to the buyers for 99 years leasehold. Is there any consequences of this action.

The facts provided are not sufficient.
How long is the lease remaining on the land?
How long is the lease that the land owner sign with the developer?
What are the terms stated in the Lease Agreement including the power entrusted to the developer to build and sell?
If it is a lease to the developer (and not a sale) the developer can only sublease out the units in consistent with the remaining land lease. ie the sublessee do not own the units or any part of the land. Read More
