can i know how do i overcome the issue of having a joint loan but 1 owner name only? how do i safeguard my partner because her name is not on the house title but is in the loan. This is because im Bumiputera and got 7% disc and so developer advise to use one name as home owner to enjoy bumi discount. but how do i protect my partner's credibility. (loan commitment but no asset)

If your partner is not your spouse and a bumiputra, then it will be legally challenging to have his/her interest protected as your property is deemed to be a bumiputra quota unit that require the state authority's consent to transfer to a non bumiputra in future. You may want to seek the advise of a lawyer before deciding on this approach. Nowadays, non bumiputra buyers are able to enjoy discounts or rebates too on new projects.
