Dear Ms.Huijing Lin, 1. You may hire an agent to start promoting your house for sale this year, 2014 as the prices of houses are still good. You may sell with a condition that you rent the house until June 2015, if it is a completed house. 2. If it is still under construction and not handed over to you by the developer until June 2015, we can still sell now provided the developer gives consent for revocation of the earlier Sale & Purchase Agreement and let the new Purchaser enter into a new Sale & Purchase Agreement with the developer and pay you the difference in price (profit), if any. 3. Otherwise please allow about 2 months period for an agent to obtain a few competing offers from potential Purchasers to get you the best price possible. Together with the common 3 months + 1 month period from the date of Sale & Purchase Agreement for a new Purchaser to pay the balance full purchase price and take vacant possession (or with tenancy), the head start required will be about 6 months. In this scenario, January 2015 will be the best time to kick start the sale process. However, the caution is that whether 2015 prices will be good or not then.
