Hello!

My partner is a Malaysian citizen, and I am a foreigner with a spouse visa in Malaysia.

Is it possible that I buy a property (worth rm 60k-200k) cash with my own money but in my Malaysian partner's name and at the same time I let my partner lease or rent it out in 99 years to me to ensure my right on the property if divorcement happens or my partner past away?

Yes you may purchase the property by cash in your partners name. There is a legal document called the Power of Attorney that will give you some rights to deal with the property by the registered owner. However, it does not not give you ownership of the property. Being a foreigner, you will still need to get the consent of the local land office to inherit any properties in Malaysia. You will need to consult a lawyer for further advise on this.
