Hi, good afternoon. My late father left a property, which is undivided land with 4 owners. Now all 3 original are also deceased. We can't find the land title, except for a copy from the Land n survey. Our family elected one of the siblings to be the LA. However the L & S says the LA's name cannot be added into the land title as the original doc is missing. How can we go about getting the ori title. The lawyer says he charges 30k to get the ori title. We do not have so much with us, also the other owners are not willing to share the cost. Any suggestions

Hello. From the copy of the title details, conduct a title search at the respective Land Office to find out the current registered owners and whether they is still a bank loan charged on the title. If there is a bank loan charged, then the said bank will have the copy of the original title. Otherwise, you will still have to apply to the Land Office for a new copy of the title deed.
