Hi, recently I bought a second hand house where I have appointed a lawyer to represent me. Apparently, the owner has appointed the same lawyer. It has been months now and I have yet received my key. I have been going around asking the house agent, the lawyer to expedite the procedure.
1) Talked to agent I found out that Owner wanted to close the case as well and pointing out that the lawyer is not fast enough.
2) Talked to the lawyer, she said pending authorized document from Owner and waiting for the Owner's bank to issue the security document . (Which I dont have any idea what is that)
Situation is Owner dont want to pass me the key as he won't have the upper hand to chase for the payment. I want it to have the key as soon as possible
My question is as below:-
1) How to expedite the process when you do not know which party holding up?
2) What is next procedure that lawyer needs to do? I know my bank has already release the money as I already starts paying installment now.
3) What will be the consequences if I push too hard? (Lawyer threatening me if I push too hard, owner will pull off and I have to pay for the late payment --> not sure what she is referring to as late payment)
4) Who else can help me to expedite this matter?
Looking forward for your advise.
Regards,
