Hiya guys! Ok, hope someone will able to suss it out for me with this matter.

Singaporean guy here - both my Malaysian parents are in their late 60's. I am looking to buy a house using my parents name in JB! I will be the sole payee for the mortgage on the house if I am able to get a loan from a private bank. Is that even possible??! I can't afford to buy a property of RM1million above as I'm a foreigner - but both my parents are BUMI people. Please advise! Many thanks!

I understand from my associate in JB that the latest rule for foreigners to purchase property in JB is above RM1 million for landed houses and above RM600,000 for condominiums. You may use your parents names as purchasers and jointly become the housing loan borrower.
