A foreigner is only allowed to buy properties priced above RM500,000 in most states of Malaysia except Penang Island which is above RM1 million. The process of buying a house or apartment is similar to Malaysians except that your lawyer will need to apply for consent from Land Office for foreigner purchase which is more often than not a formality. let me know if you have the budget and further interest via email to davidwong@quantumrealestate.com.my
