I am a foreigner and wish to buy a new house in cash under my wife's name . May I know is there any implication with the tax department/legality as my wife is currently not working?

As long as the source of money is transparently declared to the Malaysian regulatory body, eg Bank Negara, there should not be any issues with taxation. Read More
