I am a Malaysian and planning to buy a joint name property in Malaysia with my non-Malaysian girlfriend. I know that if I were to buy ta property just under my own name, I can buy any property under any price; and a foreigner can only buy property that is 600k, 1mil and 2mil above depending on locaiton.

But how about a foreigner joining name with a Malaysian? Any limitation?

As long as one of the co-purchaser is a foreigner then it will still fall under the foreigner's purchase guidelines. should you need further advise on what are the good properties available, do contact me and I will be glad to assist you. Thank you
