I have given my apartment on lease back to the developers on monthly rental basis. I do no get my rent on time. It is delayed by six months.
Please advise what legal or other options do I have to get my rent on time.
I am a foreigner and am loosing faith for investing in the Malaysian market.
In comparison investing in other countries is much more reliable as rent is usually given in advance by post dated cheques.
Please advice.

thaanks and regards

Hi Anis Shaikh,
It is with regret that you had lost confidence in investing in Malaysian properties. It is an isolated case based on the reliability of the developer you purchased from.
Usually, in a tenancy agreement/leaseback agreement the monthly rental is due and payable within 7 days from the due date unless stated otherwise that payment is made every few months. 6 months is a long time. You need to consult a lawyer to review your contract with the developer to find out whether there is any breach and what will be your remedy.
