I would like to seek advice regarding the rpgt. How much can I deduct the sales commission from my chargeable gain?
As my lawyer informed me, the maximum sales commission I can claim is only 2%. For example, I sell my unit at RM290,000, my agent charged me 3% of commission, but I only can claim 2%. Is it true??

As far as I know there is no capping on how much agency fee is allowed to be deducted from the property gains. Secondly the agency fee of up to 3% is prescribed by the Board of Valuers, Appraisers & Estate Agents Malaysia under the purview of the Ministry of Finance. Most importantly the fee is deduction is substantiated by an official receipt. David Wong Principal E2097 QUANTUM REAL ESTATE E(3)1320 +60193330573  Read More
