If an agent ask for 2% commission and the property may be sold for RM1000000 then my question is what is the meaning of 2% commission? Is it 2% x sales price? Thanks.

Michael,
You are right. To be exact, it's 2% of the agreed transacted price between seller and buyer. There is also a 6% Government Service Tax on the commission payable by the Seller.
