I'm planning to move to Malaysia with a 10 year professional visa. I would like to know whether I can buy a freehold property (an apartment or a condo) in Malaysia with this Visa,or do I have wait until I get the permanent residence?..

Abeysingha, foreigners (non PR) are allowed to buy any freehold (non Malay reserved) residential properties (houses or apartments) priced above RM500,000 (est. USD160,000)in Malaysia. Majority of the foreigners purchased properties in the capitaal city of Kuala Lumpur and the larger Klang Valley suburbs. Need help, please email me your criteria quantum6@streamyx.com
