Intro

Residensi ZIG is the second phase of Kiara Bay, UEM Sunrise’s flagship township next to a 140-acre lake in Kiara Bay, Kepong.
The trendy service apartment is developed by Mega Legacy (M) Sdn Bhd – a joint venture between UEM Sunrise Berhad and Melati Ehsan Group.
Connecting to waterfront facilities, the development emphasises urban livability with flexible living features and innovative facilities such as work-from-home sky pods, gamer’s room, and parcel delivery room.

Design

Residensi ZIG is sited on 3.4 acres of land adjacent to the 140-acre Kepong Metropolitan Lake.
Inspired by the scenery around it, it has a biophilic design that brings harmony between the natural surroundings and the built environment.
UEM Sunrise Chief Marketing Officer Kenny Wong said during the media launch, “As Residensi ZIG is our biophilic-themed residence, it focuses on creating an environment where the building occupants can reconnect and immerse themselves with nature to improve their physical and mental well-being.”
Pockets of lush green are injected across the ground level, podium level, mid-levels (levels 35 and 37) and roof. These layers of green spaces are designed to emulate the rainforest and its floor, understory, canopy, and emergent layers.
Residensi ZIG’s biophilic design philosophy extends beyond landscape design to natural sunlight and ventilation.
The development is orientated to avoid direct west-facing sunlight while still providing indirect natural lighting into the units. A ‘no air well’ design promotes natural ventilation for the common corridor and the units.

Township

Kiara Bay is UEM Sunrise’s flagship township in Kepong in northern KL, an area known for its lush greenery and mature infrastructure and amenities.
Developed in collaboration with Melati Ehsan Holdings Bhd, it is set to be an integrated waterfront township with a community-focused concept.
