Kuala Muda is a district located in Kedah. Sungai Petani is the district’s administrative center. Kuala Muda borders Kedah and Penang. Besides Sungai Petani, other major towns within Kuala Muda district include Gurun, Merbok, Kota Kuala Muda,Tanjung Dawai, Semeling,Sidam, Bukit Selambau, Bedong, Sungai Lalang, Padang Tembusu and Tikam Batu.
