Location
geo38 Residence is strategically situated near one of Malaysia’s top tourist destinations, Resorts World Genting (RWG), a Las Vegas-styled entertainment integrated development formerly known as Genting Highlands Resort. In fact, geo38’s residents are entitled to free shuttle bus services that transport them to the Skyway Cable Car Station that takes them to RWG. If you have a car, driving to the Genting Skyway Cable Car Station only takes five minutes, while going to RWG directly takes about 20 minutes.
At Resorts World Genting, there are many vibrant theme parks. One of them is the highly anticipated 20th Century Fox World, which is the first of its kind in the world. Expected to open in 2019, the 25-acre theme park will feature exciting rides based on hit Hollywood films like Rio, Ice Age, Aliens vs Predator, Planet of the Apes, and Titanic.
There are also several shopping malls such as First World Plaza and Genting Highlands Premium Outlets, in addition to the SkyAvenue high street that offers mouth-watering international dishes like Motorino, Burger & Lobster and Cafes Richard.
geo38 Residence is also close to other popular attractions in Genting Highlands. For instance, Happy Bee Farm and Insect World is two minutes by car, Mini Cameron Highlands Garden and Genting Highlands Strawberry Leisure Farm at 5 minutes each, Goh Tong Memorial Park at 6 minutes, while Awana Golf and Country Resort is farther at 10 minutes.
You can also reach Kuala Lumpur via a 40 minute car ride, while Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is farther at 80 minutes.
Finding a school is also not a problem as the Highlands International Boarding School is merely a 350m walk away, while Institut Aminuddin Baki and Sekolah Kebangsaan Sri Layang are both reachable by car in 6 minutes.
Analysis
There are two freehold projects in the immediate vicinity of geo38 Residence. Vista Residence is 100 meters away, while Windmill Upon Hills is 200 meters away. The former is a residential project, while the latter comprises serviced apartments.
geo38 Residence has the advantage having more spacious units and fewer homes than Windmill Upon Hills. While the latter beats the former in terms of minimum prices, the difference is just about RM27,000.
But when it comes to low-density, it’s Vista Residence which comes on top, followed by geo38 Residence. Nonetheless, the latter is attractively priced in both per sq ft terms and absolute price.

Summary
We believe geo38 Residence is ideal as a holiday home and investment property due to its proximity to Resorts World Genting (RWG), which will house the eagerly awaited RM1 billion 20th Century Fox World by 2019.
Moreover, Genting Malaysia Bhd announced in 2013 that it will embark on a 10-year master plan called the Genting Integrated Tourism Plan (GITP), whereby it intends to spend an additional RM5 billion in the area, particularly in RWG. These include plans to build a three-star hotel with around 1,300 rooms and a show arena capable of accommodating about 10,000 people.
Aside from the area’s promising outlook, Genting Highlands is known for its cool climate, making it a good summer retreat when Kuala Lumpur gets uncomfortably hot.
