Originally thought to be badly located with an expectation of bad traffic congestion, the almost fully developed Desa ParkCity has proved these opinions to be wrong. While traffic is congested during peak hours, it is also alleviated via the neighbourhood’s connectivity to various highways.
The Penchala Link covers connectivity to neighbourhood suburbs of Taman Tun, Mont Kiara, Bangsar and Damansara Heights, while the new Duta-Ulu Kelang Expressway (DUKE) is connected to Jalan Tun Razak and the city of Kuala Lumpur. Short minutes from Desa ParkCity is also Bandar Utama, Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya, SS2, Kelana Jaya, Bandar Sunway and Puchong, via the Damansara-Puchong Highway (LDP).
Desa ParkCity is a self-sufficient township. It comes with its own medical facility ParkCity Medical Centre, as well as its own international school, The International School at ParkCity. There is even a church within the borders of Desa ParkCity.
Surrounding the development is also a jogging cum cycling track, and interspersed mainly in the central part of the development are several parks that are interconnected via walkways. The specialty of these parks is that they are dog friendly – hence evenings in this township sees many dog owners from all over Kuala Lumpur bringing their beloved pets here.
The centrepiece of Desa ParkCity is The Waterfront which is home to many F&B outlets such as Nando’s and Rakuzen, and there is also an Aeon MaxValu supermarket that caters specially to small neighbourhoods such as Desa ParkCity. With the increasing number of residents in the area, a new shopping arcade in form of Plaza Arkadia has opened. This retail centre offers more F&B options, as well as pubs and a Maybank banking facility.

All the developments within Desa ParkCity has always been warmly welcomed by property buyers, and South Brooks is no different. It was quickly sold upon its launch with only very limited units left for buyers to choose from as of May 2018. It is however the general consensus that these homes are more for own stay than investment as its prices are already at a ceiling.
