Coming up in the skylines of Taman Desa is yet another new development, The Address. It is to be purely a residential titled condominium, a low density one of only 376 units. Housed within two towers, each tower will have only 188 units. The development will be a leasehold project of Maxim Holdings, and will come with a minimum launch price of RM650,000 for units sized between 1,118 sq ft and 2,319 sq ft. Its completion date is slated for the year 2022.

The Address sells its location as a main selling point. It is said to be a central location that is close to many amenities. The closest entertainment spot to The Address is Mid Valley Megamall, that is only 3 kilometres away, and the Nexus open air shopping strip in Bangsar South is only about 4.8 kilometres away. The Address also touts a location that is close to all the major suburbs, with Bangsar Village 5.9 kilometres away and Bangsar Shopping Centre 7.4 kilometres away.

And within short drives from home are many local banks such as the Hong Leong Bank, Maybank and Public Bank. Leading medical facilities are also nearby with the Taman Desa Medical Centre 2.5 kilometres away and the Pantai Medical Centre 5.2 kilometres.

Accessing the area is convenient via both highways and public transportation. The Seremban Highway that provides seamless connection to the Kuala Lumpur city centre via the SMART Tunnel, and Cheras, is just a turn away from home; as is the Maju Expressway (MEX) that will connect residents to Putrajaya and Cyberjaya in only 30 to 40 minutes in clear traffic.

Driving the distance is however unnecessary if one decides to take public transportation as the Seputeh KTM station is only a short drive away. There is also KL Sentral, only about 15 minutes away, where all the railway lines convene along with several different bus services.

Summary

The Address, Taman Desa External Facade

The Address is a residential high rise addition to Taman Desa, one that many residents have protested against. The development has faced much controversy, including the fact that it is being built on a narrow 132-feet tract of TNB reserved land, claims from residents that a proper notice board was not put up on site until after construction started, and more seriously the lack of safety precautions that caused a crane from the construction to fall into a neighbouring condominium’s grounds on 23rd January 2018. The last incident was one that traumatised residents of Tiara Faber Condominium, who were incensed that the developer purportedly did not even issue a formal apology or show any remorse over the incident.

The location of The Address is, however, one of its biggest selling points, one that with its affordable price tag may still attract home buyers.
