Just like there are several ways one can free a buried toy at the bottom of heap, locating Verge32 is not difficult if you know where your starting point is. In this case, you can begin with a national landmark that everyone can identify with – The National Zoo or Zoo Negara. Just beside the zoo entrance, there is a residential road that will lead you in to this residential enclave which comprises six bungalows and 26 semi-detached homes sprawled over a total land area of 5.4 acres.

Each bungalow lot carries a distinctive style, houses a unique built-up and sits on varying land size. This means that each home is unlike any other but is built according to the characteristics of the land that it occupies.

According to a source, as one move further away from the riverside, called the Klang River and farther inner and closer to the forest reserve, the elevation of the land is actually higher. “The difference in level between the riverside and the land level of houses near it is 60 feet high,” he reveals.

What many non-local folks do not know is that “there is a dam hidden from view inside the dense forest!” The man-made dam, called Empangan Klang Gates is located next to Klang Gates Quartz Ridge, a natural marvel that is known to be the longest in the world!

Some people say that if you can find a place where there are natural features present such as earth, water and mountains, these are good signs!

Major Connectivity

There are four major expressways that you can take to get in to the well-established township of Melawati. The three newer highways are the Duta-Ulu Kelang Expressway (DUKE), Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2), and the Ampang – Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH). Then, there is also Jalan Genting Klang, a trunk road which is always swarmed by motorists at all hours. Certain stretches of this road have been widened from its former two-lane into three and even four lanes. The main connectivity that cuts across all neighbourhoods that leads into the Melawati area is the MRR2. Those who come from Bukit Jalil can take the MRR2. The people who come from the city centre can either go on to Jalan Ampang or the AKLEH to get here, while the fastest route for those coming from Mont’ Kiara is the DUKE. People who do not drive can also get here by taking the train operated under the Putra LRT Station. There are only two stations that can move you closer to Taman Melawati should you choose not to drive. There is the Wangsa Maju LRT station at Desa Setapak, which is the LRT station that is closer to Verge32. According to a frequent user of the station, “Taxis are always in abundance here.”

A resident of Wangsa Maju says that she can reach her office in Mont’ Kiara in just 30 minutes by using the DUKE. Another long-time resident, who has been living here for 20 years, used to sums up what he likes about Bukit Antarabangsa in 3 words: “It’s peaceful, quiet and serene here although car headlights will come in handy at night!”

Bukit Antarabangsa is a 5- to 10-minute drive away from Taman Melawati, depending on the traffic. “There is no public transport, therefore accessibility can be a problem for people who don’t have their own transport.”

“The jam down the hill and along MRR2 can start from as early as 6.40 am!” adds in another.

“Usually, I take the elevated highway to the centre of town and the DUKE to Damansara, Bangsar and Petaling Jaya.”

For better convenience of future residents, according to a source, the developer of Verge32 is “initiating a road that will connect Melawati and Kemensah.”

Summary

Verge32 in Melawati is located on an undulating and elevated terrain, making it a prime spot to enjoy views of the hills and established neighbouring communities. For those who are looking to go for a scenic drive, this is the place to do so too.

Therefore, if you also fancy living away from the city centre and be enveloped by the local flora, and are looking to set up an abode in this inviting environment with all the exotic and never-before-seen animals that feel that you are invading their habitats, then owning your own space at Verge32 is well worth the consideration.

Who knows? These lovely creatures could one day be staring into your windows from a tree top, unaware that you are watching them?

Being able to buy a semi-detached or a bungalow unit in this part of town may mean that sometimes you have to go through heavy traffic, or sometimes you don’t. But what is that in exchange for returning to a home with a view of the hills, green expanse and your own sense of space?

Another piece of good news is that, according to a source, the Kemensah Forest Reserve, managed by Ampang Jaya Municipal Council, is reserved for Agro-Tourism purposes.

At this point in writing, the show house is not ready yet.
