Setia Eco Templer, SP Setia’s eco-themed township was launched in 2016. This 194-acre township is set amongst the majestic Bukit Takun, Templer Park and Kanching rainforest reserves in Rawang, and it comprises a residential component which features English, Balinese or Peranakan themed architectural designs, and commercial properties.

The construction for the first phase will feature English-themed residential properties named Essex Gardens. Setia Eco Templer will also be home to nine creeks (Carson Creek, Alresford Creek, Bramble Creek, Oakley Creek, Cedar Creek, Benfleet Creek, Lawling Creek, Flag Creek and Turtle Creek) and three gardens (Amethyst Garden, Jewel Garden and Emerald Garden).

So it is rather fitting that the development’s tagline is The Legend of Nine Creeks. In fact, the developer has published a hard cover, and a lengthy seven minute and 10 second video which showcases said creeks and gardens, and the indoor badminton courts from the previous development which has been transformed into a grand and pillarless banquet hall that can sit 700 pax. SP Setia will also be bringing in F&B outlets and convenience stores into the clubhouse to serve the residents and residential developments nearby.

Setia Eco Templer has a Gross Development Value (GDV) of RM2 billion and will take about eight to ten years to complete from its launch date.

Project Details

The Setia Eco Templer mixed development sits between Rawang and Selayang. It features link villas, semi-detached homes, bungalows and affordable apartments, with a luxury clubhouse to address residents’ leisure needs.

In May 2016, the first phase of Setia Eco Templer saw all 176 units of 2-storey linked villas, all six 2-storey bungalows, and 25 of its 52 units of 2-storey semi-detached houses sold. All units were taken up within two weeks.

During the successful launch, the homes were sold under the Setia 10:90 programme, where buyers only need to pay a deposit of 10%, with the remainder is payable only after the property is completed. Buyers need to secure a loan before receiving vacant possession of the property. Developers who offer such packages are usually construed as financially strong.

Amantara Samara Link Villas

The houses in phase one, which has a GDV of RM282 million, will be completed and handed over in May 2019. 

2017 saw three launches in Setia Eco Templer. Q1 marked the launch of the Rumah Selangorku affordable homes and commercial units of The Grove @ Templer, while Q2 saw the launch of the 23.9-acre phase 2A, with a GDV of RM206 million. It is based on a “Peranakan Nostalgia” theme and will comprise 168 units of double-storey linked villas and semi-detached homes. Tiles and windows will showcase Peranakan motifs, and of course, Peranakan style landscape for the outdoors.

In November 2018, Setia Eco Templer launched Amantara Home Collection, Balinese-themed houses – 36 units of Samara double-storey terrace link villas, 36 units of Maya semi-detached homes and 12 units of Alila and Ayana bungalow homes. The total GDV launched was RM138 million.
