Coming to Tropicana Cheras, this is one of the more prime developments in Kajang. Despite the development technically being in Kajang, the developer named its product as Tropicana Cheras due to its proximity to Cheras. It is in fact very much on the border of both the towns, hence the confusion at times.

One of the selling points of Tropicana Cheras is its prime location. While considered to be located in the suburbs, Tropicana Cheras is nevertheless sited in a matured neighbourhood. Surrounding the development are many schools, with the more popular ones being the Sungai Long High School and the Taman Rakan Primary School.
While major shopping malls are not a selling point in Kajang, there are however different types of entertainment here. Nearby is the Kuala Lumpur Race Course & Turf Club, and Palace of the Golden Horses. Golfers will also be pleased to know that there is the Sungai Long Golf & Country Club nearby.

There is the Kajang Dispersal Link Expressway (SILK), Cheras-Kajang Highway, Besraya Highway, and Kuala Lumpur-Seremban Highway. Via these highways, the Kuala Lumpur city centre is only 24 kilometres away, and the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is about 60 kilometres away.
Public transportation will be a viable mode of transport in the future as well, with the upcoming Bandar Tun Hussein Onn MRT about 2.73 kilometres away, and Balakong MRT about 2.97 kilometres away.

One of the definite pros of buying a home in Tropicana Cheras is the spaciousness of its units. All the homes are multi-generation family friendly, and the fact that it carries a freehold title means that the homes here can be handed down to the next generation.
Cons
However, as seen above, the homes in Tropicana Cheras are considerably pricier than its counterparts because of its size as well as the fact that this development comprises of landed properties.
Other complaints include the narrow road right after the guardhouse which is a single lane. Property buyers find this to be a concern when cars park on the shoulder of this road at night, because it will be a tight squeeze for motorists.
