The second neighbouring property to Vila Elemen is The Green Lodge, one of the Shah Alam residences of the Sultan of Selangor.

The bungalows are offered in a few layouts Typed A, B, C, and D. A Type A is a 3 ½ storey bungalow has a built up of 6,100 square feet and sits on a 50 X 90 lot. It houses 7+1 rooms with 7+1 connecting bathrooms. Due to its sheer size, there’s also a lift. Next up, a Type B bungalow share most of Type A’s layout details and internal features. Each home may feature a private pool, private rooftop garden, private basement car park, private lift, or a private deck. However, the standard features equipped inside the bungalows and semi-detached villas are a hot and cold water system, rain water harvesting system, smart home system, voice intercom system, a private lift. Initially launched in late 2015, Vila Elemen is perched in between two of Shah Alam’s prestigious landmarks, Green Lodge, residence of Sultan of Selangor and Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah golf club. Located opposite is Perbadanan Perpustakaan Awam Selangor (PPAS) or Selangor Public Library Corporation.

Most of the street names in Section 13 Shah Alam are sports-themed. Considered as only one out of 56 sections that constitute this fully-developed city, Section 13 is home to a FIFA-recognized Shah Alam outdoor stadium, Malawati indoor stadium, aquatic centres, recreational gardens and parks, sports complexes, extreme park, wet world water park and sports and leisure clubs.

A word of caution, the traffic flow leading into and out of the stadiums are unavoidably congested during peak hours. Be aware of how to get from point A to point B when you are near the area as some traffic intersections are timed here and if you get stuck in a traffic crawl, you could be in for a long wait! Some roads are also not well-lit for driving at night.

That’s not all, Shah Alam is surrounded by country clubs. Golfers usually hang out at Glenmarie Golf & Country Club, Saujana Golf & Country Club, Guthrie Golf Academy, Monterez Golf & Country Club, and Saujana Golf & Country Club.

Although considered a haven for sports and leisure activities, Section 13 is also huge on hypermarkets. Kept within a 2-to-3-kilometre of distance from one another are Giant Hypermarket at Persiaran Sukan, Tesco Extra at Persiaran Sukan and Tesco Extra at Persiaran Kayangan, followed by AEON Big at Section 23, which is less than 8 km away.

Nestled opposite the athletic hub of Section 13 is the retail and shopping heart of Shah Alam. There’s Giant, Tesco Extra, and AEON mall all located that residents of Shah Alam can call their own. This mall is located 300 metres away from Giant. More shopping mall options include Ole Ole Shopping Centre in Section 18, and Setia City Mall at Bandar Setia Alam in Section U13. Additional hypermarkets nestled beyond the 10-km radius are a Tesco hypermarket each in the gated and guarded residential township of Puncak Alam, and the residential enclave of Setia Alam.

Once you get out of this shopping sphere, across the ELITE highway is the education hub. Right here is where you’ll find Management & Science University, KDU University College. Other educational institutions in the vicinity include Open University Malaysia, PTPL College, and Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Polytechnic (PSA). Vila Elemen is also less than 20 km from the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport.

The nearest business centres are Laman Seri Business Park, Tadisma Business Park, and Worldwide Business Park. Of the three, Laman Seri Business Park is the closest to Vila Elemen, accessible within a 2 km driving distance.  Conveniently peppered within these business parks and shopping centres are bank branches under Ambank, Maybank, and RHB Bank, to name a few.

Vila Elemen residents will have the best of three worlds. Firstly, it’s located in Shah Alam’s Section 13, where one is spoilt for choice in terms of sports facilities and parks. Secondly, there is a jogging track within the development’s gated and guarded compound. Thirdly, residents also consider whether they would like to become a member of the golf and country club next door.

It’s only for you to decide whether you would like to live in bigger township developments such as Puncak Alam or Setia Alam, or a development that is as private and as exclusive as Vila Elemen, as it has the added advantage of being located in the vicinity of the Sultan of Selangor’s residence.
