Teluk Kumbar is a suburb located on the East Coast of Penang Island in Bayan Lepas. Teluk Kumbar was named after the Salak trees that grew within the area. Teluk Kumbar was founded in the late 18th century and was an agricultural town that was one of the handful of autonomous Malay settlements in the region. For places of worship, Surau Taman Teluk Kumbar and St. Timothy Anglican Church can be found here, catering to the diverse community living in the area. There are also major banks and ATMs in Teluk Kumbar, making it convenient for individuals and businesses to run financial errands.
