Serendah is a small town located in Hulu Selangor and is home to two popular tourist spots, one the Perigi Tujuh Serendah (seven wells) and Sekeping Serendah (a nature retreat). The Perigi Tujuh Serendah was built to resist floods as the name Serendah reflects that this area is located at low level as it was initially a tin mining town in the past whereas Sekeping Serendah is a natural heaven that the area offers which gives those who sign up luxury amenities along with the experience of soaking up all of what is around them. This retreat provides a tech-free environment just one hour from Kuala Lumpur city. Transportation and accessibility wise Sekeping Serendah is located near a sleepy one street town of Serendah, about an hour drive north of Kuala Lumpur. Drive time from Serendah town to the retreat is about 5 minutes, meandering past 2 Orang Asli villages. The Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan (PLUS highway) lies from the south of Hulu Selangor at Bukit Beruntung of Serendah to north of Hulu Selangor at Hulu Bernam. Moreover Serendah is also accessible via Kuala Lumpur-Ipoh Road FT1 and also the North-South Highway (NKVE). Public transportation is also available such as the Serendah Komuter Station which is stationed roughly two kilometres northwest from serendah alongside the Rasa and Batang Kali stations.
