Pandan Indah

Pandan Indah is a major township in Ampang, Selangor. It is located between Ampang proper and Cheras. Once a small town, it has since matured into a major township since the flyover was built. Many recent developments include mixed projects of condominiums, service apartments, apartment duplexes, double-storey terraces and retail lots from different developers. Being a large area, some of the houses in Pandan Indah are built on freehold land while others are built on leasehold land. Whilst it is a matured area, it is still seeing a fair amount of new properties being developed.

The Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2), Ampang-Hulu Klang Highway (AKLEH), Duta-Ulu Klang Expressway (DUKE), Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS), plus other main roads service the area, and going to the city centre is easy with Jalan Pandan Indah, Jalan Ampang, and Jalan Pandan Jaya. Moreover, the addition of Besraya Eastern Extension (BEE), which stretches from Pandan Jaya to the UPM Interchange, has given a facelift to the often-travelled Jalan Pandan Indah. Public transportation is also available such as the Pandan Indah LRT Station services this township directly alongside a number of Rapid KL buses. Taman Rekreasi Pandan Indah is a park located nearby where those who are health conscious can go to do their daily workout, jog, cycle, walk or just to enjoy the clean breeze while watching the children play.

There are many amenities and various facilities surrounding the area such as Mid-Point Shopping Centre, Pandan Kapital, AEON Jusca, Tesco Ampang and Galaxy Ampang for shopping, and various restaurants, like Mama Kim Sauna Mee Pandan Indah, ALANNA’S Kitchen Pandan Indah food Court, Udon-ya san restaurant, Kheong Kee Bak Kut Teh and BigBowl Thai Food &BBQ. There are shops nearby that tourist can visit if they need to get any groceries or daily necessities. Among the shops include Jayamart Supplier, 7 – 11 Jalan Pandan Indah 3/3a, Heng Lee Mini Market, Maha Mini Market and Vaanavil Mini Market. The residents of Pandan Indah are made up of various religions, hence the town, houses a number of religious places, namely Masjid Al-‘Azim Pandan indah, Assembly Of God Glory, Sri Ganesar Temple, Nine Emperor Gods Temple and Gurdwara Sahib Kampung Pandan.

Pandan Indah is home to a number of local public schools that are located within easy travelling distance of the area. Some of the schools are Sekolah Kebangsaan Pandan Indah, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Pandan Indah, Q-dees Pandan Indah, Eslanda International Academy Sdn Bhd and Taylor’s International School Kuala Lumpur. In-case of medical emergencies, there are many clinics in the vicinity that residents can go to. Some of the closest clinics are Clinic Dr Monty, Klinik Mediviron, Policlinic And Surgery Khor, Clinic Kita Pandan Indah and Klinik Gan & Lim. Other facilities in the area are banks, such as CIMB Bank Pandan Indah, Hong Leong Bank, Public Bank, RHB Bank Pandan Indah, Bank Simpanan Nasional and post offices like, PAM Post Office Pandan Prima (Tesco Ampang) and Pejabat Pos Taman Maluri. As for those who enjoy partying and are young at heart, there are many entertainment places that you could go to, to enjoy yourself after a hard days’ work. Places like, Nine Nine Bistro & KTV, De Indah Café, Base Snack Bar, Stardice and Lucky Star are open into the early hours of the morning.
