2020 was a year that truly cemented its place in the history books to come – from a pandemic that took millions of lives, to global economies shutting down for months to combat the rapid spread of the virus.
For homebuyers however, the lower price environment tapped into pent-up demand, allowing them to take advantage of the more affordable market.
So, which high-rise properties did Malaysians prefer during the latter half of 2020?
Based on actual transaction data from Property Advisor (which is managed by MyProperty Data*, Malaysia’s largest online property data company), here are the top 10 projects with the highest number of transactions in H2 2020. The list is arranged starting from the most transactions.

1) Lanson Place (No. 8 Ampang Hilir)

  • Property Type: Condominium
  • Built-ups: 1,500 sq ft – 2,200 sq ft
  • Price: Rental rates between RM6,300 – RM11,000
  • Completion year: 2014

Fun fact: Lanson Place is well situated in the affluent U-Thant enclave, also known as Embassy row. Named after the former United Nations secretary general, the area is surrounded by foreign embassies, international schools and The Selangor Polo and Riding Club. No wonder it’s top of the list!
