2020 was a year that truly cemented its place in the history books to come – from a pandemic that took millions of lives, to global economies shutting down for months to combat the rapid spread of the virus.
For homebuyers however, the lower price environment tapped into pent-up demand, allowing them to take advantage of the more affordable market.
So, which high-rise properties did Malaysians prefer during the latter half of 2020?
Based on actual transaction data from Property Advisor (which is managed by MyProperty Data*, Malaysia’s largest online property data company), here are the top 10 projects with the highest number of transactions in H2 2020. The list is arranged starting from the most transactions.

1) Lanson Place (No. 8 Ampang Hilir)
- Property Type: Condominium
- Built-ups: 1,500 sq ft – 2,200 sq ft
- Price: Rental rates between RM6,300 – RM11,000
- Completion year: 2014
Fun fact: Lanson Place is well situated in the affluent U-Thant enclave, also known as Embassy row. Named after the former United Nations secretary general, the area is surrounded by foreign embassies, international schools and The Selangor Polo and Riding Club. No wonder it’s top of the list!
2) PR1MA Jalan Jubilee Residence
- Property Type: Condominium
- Built-ups: 906 sq ft – 1,089 sq ft
- Price: From RM311,850
- Completion year: 2020
Fun fact: PR1MA Jalan Jubilee Residence was developed under the affordable housing programme PR1MA. Developments under this scheme are located in conducive locations and reasonably priced between RM100,000 – RM400,000, as they are meant to help more eligible Malaysians own their first home.
3) Flora Damansara, Damansara Perdana

- Price: From RM90,000 – RM250,000
- Completion year: 2015
Fun fact: If you’re looking to purchase a unit in the affordable and high-density Flora Damansara, be mindful that Block A and B are low cost, while Block E, F and H are medium cost. The maintenance fee varies, depending on the block as well.
4) The Parque Residences @ Eco Sanctuary
- Property Type: Condominium
- Built-ups: 516 sq ft – 1,388 sq ft
- Price: From RM397,000 – RM1,097,800
