Kampung Pandan

Kampung Pandan is a village located at the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur city in Desa Pandan. Kampung Pandan has a history of being a migrant village where people from all over Malaysia came to stay because they wanted to look for better job opportunities in the capital city Kuala Lumpur in the early 70s. Kampung Pandan was once a small village and has now developed tremendously along with its neighbour Pandan Jaya. The current homes in Kampung Pandan are part of the original settlement and the houses have been renovated over the years but some have retained its original façade and designs. An interesting fact about Kampung Pandan is that there is a famous landmark which is the Mokhtar Dahari Community Square or Dataran Komuniti Mokhtar Dahari, named after the famous Malaysian footballer as he used to live and play football here.
