Battersea Power Station is a must-visit destination for families seeking a fun cultural fix this May Half-term, as the riverside neighbourhood hosts major immersive art installations including A Line Florist by Anna Bruder and Luxart by Architects of Air, adding to the vibrant mix of retail and leisure experiences at Battersea Power Station.
Luxart, will transform Power Station Park on the River Thames, offering visitors the opportunity to step into a breathtaking world of light and colour from 23rd – 31st May 2026. The experience is a bespoke inflatable installation designed for Battersea Power Station by artist Alan Parkinson of Architects of Air. The monumental Luminarium invites visitors to explore a series of interconnected domes, each offering a unique sensory experience shaped by shifting hues and luminous forms.
Visitors will journey through a sequence of awe-inspiring spaces, from the calming Green Dome to the dramatic Red Tree chamber and the spiraling Blue Helix Dome, culminating in the spectacular Cupola centrepiece. Designed to inspire reflection, creativity and a sense of wonder, Luxart offers an immersive environment unlike any other. Tickets are priced at £10 per person, with an additional programme of events inside the space, shortly to be announced.
Following a sold-out run at The Museum of Modern Art in New York, A Line Florist by London- based artist Anna Bruder brings a playful twist to the traditional florist concept. From 23rd – 31st May 2026, visitors can step into an imaginative, interactive space where popular flowers such as daisies, roses and lilies are reimagined as hand-drawn artworks in Anna’s signature bold black- and-white style.
Upon arrival, each visitor receives a token to exchange for their chosen illustrated flower. Guests are invited to explore the installation, “purchase” their favourite floral design with their token and then let their creativity flow by adding colour and personality to their piece. The experience concludes with a photo opportunity in front of Anna’s striking murals, allowing visitors to capture their finished artwork as a unique keepsake or thoughtful gift. The 30-minute experience is open to creatives of all ages, priced at £10 per person.
Alongside these art-led experiences, visitors can enjoy a variety of other activities taking place across the riverside neighbourhood. The River Walk Market is now open every Sunday until the end of August, spotlighting a curated selection of independent food, drink and artisan traders on the River Thames.
