PPR Gombak Setia

PPR Gombak Setia is a leasehold apartment located at Gombak Setia, Setapak. This project was developed by Program Perumahan Rakyat (PPR) which is a drastic action taken by the Malaysian government to address the shortage of housing and squatter through the National Economic Action Council (MTEN). The PPR is implemented by the Housing Company Berhad (SPNB) in collaboration with the local government. The cost of construction is borne by the Federal Government but the land is provided by the state government. A total of 21,611 residents were offered to buy the occupied PPR units. However, only 14,450 residents are interested in buying. The Election Committee found that 10,159 residents were eligible for PPR homes. 4,013 people are eligible for conditional rent payments for more than three months while the remaining 278 applications are still pending.
