Si Rusa is located in the Port Dickson district, in the State of Negeri Sembilan, the nearest city is Seremban, and the nearest town is Port Dickson, and Lukut.
Si Rusa, and its nearby Port Dickson town, was developed as a port to enable the British to bring in spices, tea and silk between India and China. In 1891, a railway track was built to further the goods to Sungai Ujong (now called Seremban). With this development of the area grew as more ships from Singapore and Port Klang also stopped by this area, and this also brought an influx of workers who settled into the housing area of Si Rusa. Nearby areas to Si Rusa are Port Dickson, Teluk Kemang, Linggi, Rantau, Pasir Pajang, and Bandar Springhill.
Si Rusa is situated in a good location with much accessibility in terms of main roads and highways. There’s the major Federal Route 5, which approaches Si Rusa from the west coming from Pasir Panjang, while from a south westerly direction the same Federal Route 5 goes to Teluk Kemang. There is the Jalan Pintasan Teluk Kemang (Teluk Kemang Bypass) which allows quick access from Pasir Panjang, to the other end of Teluk Kemang, nearer towards Port Dickson. Right in the middle of the Teluk Kemang Bypass there is the Federal Route 364 which goes directly to Si Rusa. To access the North – South Expressway (AH2) one can use the Seremban – Port Dickson Highway (SPDH / E29) to reach the toll at Senawang or Linggi, to reach the northern state of Selangor, or the next southern state of Melaka.
Si Rusa being a coastline town is surrounded by the sea. Beaches offer a relaxing day out in the sun, sea and sand and families can go to either the Port Dickson Beach or Teluk Kemang.
