Kelana Jaya is a mature, well-planned township and suburb located in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. Kelana Jaya is made up of various sections that is SS3, SS4, SS5,SS6 and SS7. Kelana Jaya is across the road from Bandar Sunway and Subang Jaya while it neighbours Ara Damansara, SS2 ,Damansara Utama/Damansara Jaya and Bandar Utama, to name a few. Kelana Jaya is synonymous with its notorious jams along the Kelana Jaya stretch of the LDP.
Kelana Jaya is easily reachable and can be access through Federal Highway, ELITE highway and Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong (LDP) or through the inner roads of Kelana Jaya. It is also served by the Kelana Jaya LRT station, which also happens to be the final station on the Kelana Jaya line. Kelana Jaya can aso be reached by buses, taxis and e-hailing services that serves the area. It is best to take public transportation here as parking spaces are limited here especially during working hours.
In the past, Kelana Jaya used to be a thriving industrial area which houses many production facilities of many internatonal multinationals such as Panasonic and Western Digital in the Sungei Way Free Trade Industrial Zone. Panasonic had long sold off the land and relocated to its current location in nearby Shah Alam while Western Digital announced plans as recent as 2019 to sell off its manufacturing facility in Kelana Jaya. Among the commercial and business hubs are Kelana Square, Kelana Jaya Business Centre, Kelana Centre Point, Zenith Corporate Park and Icon City. There are also several government offices located here such as Kompleks Kastam Wilayah Persekutan and Kelana Jaya Immigration Department in Plaza Glomac.
You can find practically everything here in Kelana Jaya with a good mix of amenities and facilities like recreational, commercial, education, food and many more.

The British International School of Kuala Lumpur, The Japanese School of KL, Sunway International School and Asia Pacific Schools are some of the reputed international schools within a 5 km radius. There are also several institution of higher learning such as UNITAR International University, Lincoln University College, Innovative International College and Open University Malaysia while the Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus, Sunway University, Monash University and First City University College are within close range. Kelana Jaya is also home to the Malaysia Airlines Academy as well as many other professional training academies.
Kelana Jaya Medical Centre ,Klinik Kesihatan Kelana Jaya alongside several private clinics serves the medical needs of the community whilst other nearby world-class medical facilities includes Sunway Medical Centre, KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital, Ara Damansara Medical Centre and Columbia Asia Hospital Petaling Jaya.
Giant Hypermarket Kelana Jaya is an iconic landmark in Kelana Jaya due to its strategic locale next to the LDP , where the community does their essentials and groceries shopping for a long time before the existence of other newer supermarkets and hypermarkets around the area such as HeroMarket, Jaya Grocer@Evolve Concept Mall, Pasar Mini Berkat, PNP Convenience Store and Village Grocer @ CITTA Mall, while AEON Big Subang Jaya, Tesco Extra Ara Damansara and Tesco Extra Mutiara Damansara are short drives away.
