Generally, the Joint Management Body (“JMB”) have the powers to implement by-laws to restrict short term rental such as home stay. However, if you are renting the unit for at least one year, generally, it is allowed.

Therefore, it is best to check with the JMB whether there is any by-laws passed to disallow short term rentals and request the JMB to produce the minutes of the AGM.
