In modern-day Malaysia, a high-rise without a pool is like a sandwich without bread. Although most developments come with one nowadays, how many of them are beautiful infinity pools with gorgeous views to boot?
The answer? It’s all here in this article!
Discover these exciting high-rises and their distinctive infinity pools perfect for poolside lounging, envy-inducing Instagram shots, and lots of chill vibes to make you never want to get out of the water.
What Does An Infinity Pool Mean?
Unlike other swimming pools, an infinity pool is located right near the edge, to create a visual effect of where the water meets the sky.
For a pool to qualify as an infinity pool, the top of the water must be on the same level as the edges around the pool, hence, the illusion of water and sky merging into one another.
Infinity pools are also commonly referred to as 'zero-edge pools', 'disappearing pools', and the Malaysian favourite: 'Sky pools' (they’re usually situated on the rooftop or a very high level, thus, its ‘sky’-ness).
Fun fact #1: An indoor swimming pool is known as 'natatorium' in Latin!
