SouthKey Mosaic Serviced Apartment
In this regard, the residential aspect plays an important role as you will be living here. Here are the individual unit types and their built-up:
The 584 units within the two towers, A and B, have been designed with spatial consideration and style in mind; living spaces that incorporate high ceilings, some very clever interior design ideas especially for the smaller units such as Type 1A (676sq ft) and Type 1B (Type 1B) where spaces are limited, and lots of added extras.
To this end, the SouthKey Mosaic Serviced Apartments demonstrate the Live WELL philosophy of Working Delights ~ Environmental Focus ~ Leisure Enjoyments ~ Living Pleasures. Don’t you think?
Below are the visuals.
Type 1A Showroom unit – 1 bedroom + 1 bath at 676sq ft
This is what your pad will look like. This is the view of the hall of the Type 1A, the smallest unit at 676sq ft
Your very cosy bedroom. Love the wall panelling. Adds oomph and a delightful focal contrast to the walls
The magic wall — the TV swivel panel. Isnt that nice. You can watch the same TV from the bedroom or the hall. Beats buying two TVs!
Type 3A Showroom unit – 3 + 1 bedrooms + 3 baths at 1,465sq ft
Here is the bigger unit at 1,465sq ft.
The master bathrooms of the three bedroom units, like this one, are spacious enough for a bathtub. The placement of the wooden louvered folding door to the bathroom is an absolutely charming idea.
The built in Kitchen Cabinets with Island Counter for a modular-designed cooking workspace is another charming and modern idea. Take a look:
And last but not least, the palatial Master Bedroom. Ah…now wait for it…let’s look at the Master Bathroom…
Just love the louvered folding doors idea! This bathroom, along with that bathtub is where you can soak among scented flowers of a Spa…aaah. Isnt that’s the life!
Here is another look at the bath tub and the spaciousness of the bathroom — your very own ‘slice of tranquility as it were
Is the bathtub for free? Well no. Sorry. You can stop day dreaming now. For an official picture of what’s free and what’s not, take a look below.
What’s Free and What’s Not
As a last note on the units — Tower A has been completely sold out. But you still have a chance with Tower B.
Facilities
SouthKey Mosaic Serviced Apartments come with large scale facilities. More than 105,000sq ft large across the 7th floor to be precise, all laid out with some of the most out-of-the-box enjoyments.
The Outdoor Camping Facility is a first–of-a-kind, along with outdoor exercise with the Par Course. There is also the smart Electric Vehicle Charging Station incorporated in the parking areas. Now you don’t have to worry where to recharge when you buy yourself an electric car.
Take a look at the Facilities below:
Location
The entire SouthKey development is a strategy to turn 330 acres of prime commercial land, 4km from the city centre of Johor Bahru, into a shot in the arm for the Iskandar Malaysia vision. SouthKey is an investment invite for big things to come to the southern tip of Peninsular Malaysia and judging by the response thus far, yes…it looks like the RSVPs are coming in.
Located at the very heart of Iskandar Malaysia Flagship Zone A, and bordered at its three sides by Jalan Tebrau, Jalan Bakar Batu and the Eastern Dispersal Link (EDL) for unrivalled accessibility, Southkey is the last large tract of city centre land available for development.
In fact, it is the largest piece of urban development ever to descend on Johor Bahru, which, understandably, constitutes why the developer has revised and finetuned plans – with help, of course, through ace masterplanner GDP Architects − to ensure they hit the ground running. Go check them out by clicking on the link given above.
City Within A City
SouthKey City Sdn Bhd, formerly known as Selia Pantai Sdn Bhd in a partnership with the Johor State investment company, Kumpulan Prasarana Rakyat Johor, is the developer of SouthKey.
The almost triangular-shaped SouthKey parcel. Actually, it’s four sided but who’s really counting, right?
The bigger picture of the same google map. SouthKey is tri-fronted by Jalan Tebrau, Jalan Bakar Batu and the EDL
The life-changing township (and you can see its exact location in the maps above), put together with some carefully thought-out vim and verve components such as shopping, dining and recreation, has been designed to assert the development’s position as the living, breathing, thumping pulse of Johor Bahru, thereby adding oil, as it were, to the cogs and wheels of the Malaysian economy.
Already, the engines have started and things are revving.
Jalan Bakar Batu, once a narrow road leading out of the small subsistence village of Kampung Bakar Batu, has been upgraded into a 6-lane thoroughfare by the developer, in readiness for the big traffic that will surely be driving into and out of SouthKey. There are other roads of course, plenty in fact, and they are: Jalan Tebrau and the EDL, Pasir Gudang and the North-South Highway. The CIQ is only 4 minutes away via the EDL.
The whole area is accessible by road, air and rail; there are two airports in close proximity – Senai and Changi (Singapore), and JB Sentral for those who wish to travel by KTM as well as the RTS, said to be coming in 2018 and the HSR in 2020.
MidValley SouthKey Megamall – the much anticipated shopping and leisure component − costing RM6 billion and which has begun earthworks and piling, will see its completion sometime in 2018. It will span 32 acres and will, apart from retail outlets and recreational activities, also comprise hotels, office suites, and residences, much like its KL sister.
Shopping has been identified as the No:#1 spark to add vibrancy to any development. Hence, the presence of SouthKey Megamall
Mid Valley Southkey Megamall will be the largest shopping mall in the southern region of Malaysia and everyone is excited about it. It is a joint venture project between IGB Corporation Bhd (the same guys behind MidValley City, KL ) and Southkey City Sdn Bhd with a shareholding proportion of 70:30.

Columbia Asia Hospital has also come on board. They are expected to begin construction on a 1.42ha parcel in 2016.
The international private school and college has not been finalised yet but a few institutions of higher learning have shown interest. Apparently there was inquiry from City University College of Science & Technology.
(Incidentally, did you know Educity in Nusajaya under Iskandar Malaysia Flagship Zone B, has a whopping 10 universities under one very large roof? Say what you will but the development of Johor as a whole is coming along very nicely, thanks to the hard working people behind the Iskandar Development Plan).
Of course, the green lung comprising 18-acres of lake and pond and tree-lined Central Park which was integral to the blueprint from the very beginning, is already taking shape.
A closer look at the Park-In-The City called Central Park. Right now it is the artist’s impression of course
Environmental focus is imperative in any development, particularly for SouthKey City Sdn Bhd who is expounding the “Live WELL” philosophy: Working Delights ~ Environmental Focus ~ Leisure Enjoyment ~ Living Pleasures.
Central Park is therefore, a crucial incorporation into the big picture as it provides the green constituent conducive for enhancing the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of the community as a whole. Nothing like a walk among greenscapes everyday to soothe the soul.
Let’s take a look at how “Live WELL” fits into the scheme of things at SouthKey Mosaic, the 9.44 acre of self-sustaining residential and retail mixed development offering some pretty nifty components of boutique pods, shop offices, serviced residences and a High Street.
Iskandar Malaysia
Of course, one can’t even begin to talk about properties and development in Johor without referring to Iskandar Malaysia. Economic development in Johor Bahru owes its thrust and thanks to the very-focused Iskandar Malaysia plan. Here is some information about Iskandar Malaysia, its relevance and impact and how it has been working to reshape Johor Bahru into what she is today:
Analysis
SouthKey Mosaic’s new-fangled property type — Boutique Pods! These are the first ever in Johor Bahru too. If you’re having a business and need a great shop frontage for display, these boutique pod units will do your product and brand great justice
We shall do a price comparison analysis with the “other big thing” but still “not as big” at 116 acres coming to Johore Bahru in the near future − The China waterfront development R&F Princess Cove located at Tanjung Puteri.

Summary
In terms of developer stability and strength, you know you can put your mind at ease with this investment. There are big guns behind this project, namely Kumpulan Prasarana, IGB Corp and many more.
If you think you’d like to be a part of it all, whether you are Malaysian or non-Malaysian, SouthKey Mosaic represents a good, strong deal. For one, it is where you can safely put your money down.
SouthKey has nine precincts and the entire initiative will take about 15 years to complete. But it is now that opportunity knocks. And you know, it’s as they say: Opportunity knocks only once.
