I have a housing loan (including MRTA) offered to me:
BR (3.11%) + 0.24% = 3.35%
I wish to not take MRTA as I have life insurance to cover. But the banker said without MRTA the interest rate will be much more higher -
SBR (2.25%) + 1.45% =3.7%
The interest rate difference between with and without MRTA is 0.35% and I did the computation, even without the 18k principal, my monthly instalment is even higher due to the big interest rate difference
With MRTA 3.35% - RM1,888
Without MRTA 3.7% - RM1,905++
I wish to know is it true that the interest difference is this big (0.35%)because I don’t want MRTA? Thanks so much
