Kelana Jaya is a mature, well-planned township and suburb located in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. Kelana Jaya is made up of various sections that is SS3, SS4, SS5,SS6 and SS7. Kelana Jaya is across the road from Bandar Sunway and Subang Jaya while it neighbours Ara Damansara, SS2 ,Damansara Utama/Damansara Jaya and Bandar Utama, to name a few. Kelana Jaya is synonymous with its notorious jams along the Kelana Jaya stretch of the LDP.
Kelana Jaya is easily reachable and can be access through Federal Highway, ELITE highway and Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong (LDP) or through the inner roads of Kelana Jaya. It is also served by the Kelana Jaya LRT station, which also happens to be the final station on the Kelana Jaya line. Kelana Jaya can aso be reached by buses, taxis and e-hailing services that serves the area. It is best to take public transportation here as parking spaces are limited here especially during working hours.
In the past, Kelana Jaya used to be a thriving industrial area which houses many production facilities of many internatonal multinationals such as Panasonic and Western Digital in the Sungei Way Free Trade Industrial Zone. Panasonic had long sold off the land and relocated to its current location in nearby Shah Alam while Western Digital announced plans as recent as 2019 to sell off its manufacturing facility in Kelana Jaya. Among the commercial and business hubs are Kelana Square, Kelana Jaya Business Centre, Kelana Centre Point, Zenith Corporate Park and Icon City. There are also several government offices located here such as Kompleks Kastam Wilayah Persekutan and Kelana Jaya Immigration Department in Plaza Glomac.
