Ayer Hitam

Ayer Itam or popularly known as Air Itam,  is a suburb in located in Georgetown Penang.Ayer Itam is approximately 6km from the city centre and is well-known its major tourist attractions the Penang Hill (Bukit Bendera) and Kek Lok Si Temple. It is also the place to go to sample authentic Penang cuisine.

Ayer Hitam is easily accessible. Jalan Air Itam which connects all the way from Georgetown the main road, with a total length of about 4.5km it is a heavily used route for road users heading towards Georgetown, Air Itam and Paya Terubong.
