Tampin

Tampin is a town located in the Tampin District of Negeri Sembilan. Part of the town however, spills over to its neighbouring state of Melaka as it is a town that is located along the Malacca-Negeri Sembilan border.  Tampin’s name is derived from the container or pouch weaved from the pandanus fronds.

Tampin is a city that can be easily accessed due to the major roads and highways that connects the city to its surrounding towns and cities. The North – South Expressway, Jalan Alor Gajah – Tampin, Karak – Tampin Highway and the East Coast Expressway are some of the major roads that connect Tampin to its surrounding towns and cities. Through these roads, Tampin is connected to neighbouring towns and cities such as Bentong, Karak, Seremban, Gemas and Kuala Pilah.
