HI, i bought a house but registered in joint names with my step-brother thinking we will stay together. But it didn't work out mutually and we are no longer in speaking terms. So, now i want to remove his name and to become the single title owner. I paid the deposit and monthly bank mortgages, even the deposit paid solely by me, only me paying the mortgages every month, electric bill, water bill and everything connected to the house. House still has mortgage, how do i go about changing the joint to single title under my sole name? what is the legal procedures? He is not willing to sign without any cost and demanding for half share or the whole house.
