Project Details
D’Rapport Residences has been around for quite a while. The plans for the development started in 2007 and was supposed to be completed in 2010. By then, the development was under the helm of Perspektif Masa and Permodalan Negeri Selangor.
In 2015, Acmar International managed to gain support in bringing back D’Rapport on track. It came up with a collaboration with China Railway Engineering Corporation (M) Sdn Bhd (CREC) and Bismarck Construction & Engineering Sdn Bhd.
This collaboration is added along with a construction Islamic financing deal worth of RM 476 million with Malaysia Building Society Bhd (MBSB) and CREC. This collaboration aims to provide solid financial support in executing the long awaited project. Hopefully with an enormous financial backing, D’Rapport will see the light of day given its immense potential. D’Rapport Residences will be nestling on 9.12 acres of land, tucked hidden at the end of Jalan Nipah with a 25-acre of Lake Park.
D’Rapport will comprise of 5 towers, named The Wellington, The Swinton, The Auston, The Kennington and The Winston. There will be a total of 1099 units in all for the entire development.

Facilities here are massive. For golf enthusiasts, there will be a golf simulator. Besides that, its Party Deck promises fantastic views of the city along with great services in the form of the Sky Bar, Sky Park, and glass lap pool.
D’Rapport has four main basic layouts. Type A is the biggest unit here aside from the Penthouse. Sized at 2,238 sq.ft., it comes with three bedrooms along with a study area. Spacious is quite a big deal for D’Rapport in providing comfort above the rest.

Type B is massive with three bedrooms (Source http://www.metroworld.com.my/project/drapport-jalan-ampang)
Type B is sized at 1,903 sq.ft. with three bedrooms. For many, a width as big as this is as good as it gets within the city living. Space is such scarce here in KL. Units with bigger width and more rooms do tick all the plus points for the development.

Those that do have budget cap would might opt for Type C (Source http://www.metroworld.com.my/project/drapport-jalan-ampang)
Type C is sized at 1,613 sq.ft. with three bedrooms. Those with a budget cap but yearns for extra room would not mind a unit like this.
Type D is considered the smallest at 1,108 sq.ft. It comes with two rooms or a single room, depending on the buyer’s preferences. Of course, units with one bedroom would be more spacious in its living area in comparison to the units with two bedrooms.
Location
Location is everything. Ampang Hilir is no exception and it is the hub of great residences for those who can afford it.
The gushes and raves over Ampang Hilir is due to its exclusivity. It is the home to at least 50 embassies and the centre for a lot of expats and embassy folks. Such prestige can’t be found in any other areas in Kuala Lumpur and this is the essence of Ampang Hilir. It can be hailed as the home to the international elites.
Jalan Nipah is located along Jalan Ampang, in Ampang Hilir. Its entrance is located right before Gleneagles Hospital. Upon entering Jalan Nipah, residents will have to make a right turn. They will be able to see D’Rapport’s massive land. It is located strategically at the dead end of Jalan Nipah. The land is still covered in greens along with a couple low rise apartments nearby.
D’ Rapport is extremely accessible with various means of transportation. It is well connected to various main roads in Kuala Lumpur. Upon exiting Jalan Nipah, one can find themselves along Jalan Ampang that could easily take them to the city centre within less than ten minutes. AKLEH and DUKE entry and exit points are located extremely nearby. Residents can find the entry point of Plaza Tol Dato Keramat around the corner in order to enter AKLEH. For those heading to DUKE, you can take Jalan Jelatek. MRR2 is also accessible via Jalan Ampang.
Great news for the residents here. There is an ongoing construction of an elevated intersection that is taking place within this area. The crossroads will be built in between Jalan Ampang and Jalan Jelatek as this will provide an option for commuters who are heading in and out of Jalan Ampang. The construction is expected to be completed in 2017. This could definitely ease the bottleneck jams here that occurs frequently, from weekdays till the weekends.
Besides driving with own transportation, residents do have the alternative of commuting via trains. RAPID LRT is easily accessible here. The closest train station is Jelatek Station. You can walk to the station but it might take you at least 15 minutes to reach there. Cabbies are all around here as it is the hotspot for expats and foreigners. They do make up the majority of residents living at the area.
The location is without a doubt a gem! Amenities are scattered everywhere.
As mentioned, this is the hub for the embassies. There are countless of countries locating their embassies along Jalan Ampang and within the routes of Ampang Hilir and Jalan Damai. Embassy of the Republic of Korea is the closest neighbour to the development. Embassy of Finland, Embassy of the Russian Federation and the majestic building of the Royal Thai Embassy are located along Jalan Ampang heading towards Jalan Nipah.
Others include the Culture Attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq, Embassy of the Republic of France, Polish Embassy, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, the Embassy of the Republic of Senegal and the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Besides that, medical care wouldn’t be much of a hassle. Gleneagles Hospital is literally next to the residences. Meanwhile, KPJ Ampang Puteri is a short drive away. It is located at Taman Dato Ahmad Razali that can be accessed with the MRR2.
Places of shopping are abundance. Residents can walk to Great Eastern Mall, a family friendly mall. It has all the basics that include Cold Storage, restaurants, cafes, kids’ indoor playground and kindergarten within its building. Drive up along Jalan Ampang, you will be heading to another rapid growing and popular destination called Ampang Point.
It is a great place to get everything and anything; from food to fashion. This is also a well-loved area by the Arabs and the Koreans who have taken the opportunity to open various businesses. They run restaurants, grocery stores, shisha parlours and boutiques that cater to their needs. Well, you’re never too far away from home!
Heading towards the city centre via Jalan Ampang, residents can head on to Ampang Park, Suria KLCC, Intermark and other popular shopping destinations.
There are many other developments that either going through construction stages or in the pipelines. 3 Towers of Jalan Ampang is located right behind D’Rapport. This is a massive development by Dergahayu that consists of commercial, residential, business, retail, hotel and corporate offices. It has three blocks with 25 storeys high. Other new developments that soon be rising are Pavilion Embassy, Olive Residences and Picasso Residence.
There is no denying that residents are bound to face massive jams everyday. No sugar coating when it comes to the horrid jams along the area at the moment. With the mushrooming of high-end residential developments that is spilling right onto Jalan Jelatek, mitigating the traffic will be the biggest obstacle. We all do hope that the elevated intersection would take some heat off from the area by 2017.
