Pride of ownership has long been defined by design, quality and premium value, but today’s aspirational crowd appreciates the added prestige that comes with products that reflect their ecological commitment.
United in their understanding of this new benchmark of luxury, Bon Estates and Cycle & Carriage Bintang jointly showcased cutting-edge products that meet this commitment at a unique event that brought together the appeal of emotive lifestyle and the excitement of automotive excellence.
Reaching out to upwardly mobile and high nett-worth individuals looking to make a meaningful investment into their quality of life, Bon Estates offered visitors to their show gallery at Jalan Maarof an experiential tour of the lifestyle to offer its latest development – The Estate.
The boutique luxury development taking shape in the highly-vaunted locale of Bangsar South not only appeals with its fresh outlook on luxury lifestyle standards and immense investment potential, but also with its green credentials as The Estate has been rated a Building Sector Energy Efficient Project (BSEEP) by United Nation Development Programme (UNDP) and Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR).
Sharing centre stage, Cycle & Carriage showcased its latest fleet of hybrid Mercedes-Benz vehicles which blend the luxury automotive experience with eco-conscious features that are important to modern day drivers.
“There is great synergy in our tie-up with Cycle & Carriage Bintang and in showcasing the latest hybrid models from the renowned Mercedes-Benz brand. It is a brand name that is synonymous with class, excellence, build quality and craftsmanship.”
“We at Bon Estates not only have high regard for these virtues, we see them as shared principles that tie in seamlessly with our own ethos of Living, Well Crafted,” said Bon Estates managing director Goh Soo Sing.
On show during the two-day event were the latest Mercedes-Benz C 350 ePlug-In Hybrid sedan and S 400 Hybrid luxury sedan.
The C 250 e is a hybrid expansion on the popular C-Class range of mid-sized sedans, with a 2.0 litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers 211hp and 350Nm of torque. However, additional power comes from 80hp/340 Nm electric motor positioned between the engine and the 7G-Tronic Plus seven-speed automatic transmission, which results in a total system output of 279hp and 600Nm.
Meanwhile, the S 400 Hybrid is a masterclass in automotive engineering that delivers 306Hp and 370Nm of torque via a naturally aspirated 3.5 litre V6 engine and a vast interior for luxury thrill seekers. Also featuring a 7G-Tronic Plus gearbox, performance figures a 0-100 km/h time of 6.8 seconds, a top speed of 250km/h and combined fuel consumption of just 6.3 litres per 100km.
Also available for test drives were selected models from the Mercedes-Benz brand, including the popular A-class, which has struck a chord with the young and upwardly mobile crowd. In much the same way, the lifestyle proposition at The Estate also speaks directly to this aspirational crowd, luring them with the appeal of chic design, green spaces and convenient connectivity.
In line with the weekend’s celebration of artistry and craftsmanship, a collaborative group of street artists – known as “Foursome KL” – were invited to display their dynamic artwork rendered onto the latest Mercedes-Benz A 200 AMG Line. The cars, which were on display at the entrance of the Show Gallery generated plenty of buzz among visitors and passers-by alike.
Throughout the weekend, guests were also treated to the full scope of hospitality services provided at the Bon Estate Show Gallery, which includes a stylish coffee bar and sumptuous delights provided by The Good Co, a new healthy fast-food cafe with a twist – serving what it calls “honest food”.
A permanent feature at the gallery, it has partnered with Bon Estates because of its similar outlook and commitment to healthy lifestyle standards.
The Good Co café prides itself in improving the quality of life through mindful and healthy eating, serving up delights that are not only delicious, but are good for the mind, body and soul.
