Sunway Property debuts ‘Sunway Iskandar Viper Challenge @ Medini'

Asia’s biggest obstacle course event, ‘Sunway Iskandar Viper Challenge @ Medini’, kicked-off at Nature’s Capital City with Sunway Property introducing Sunway Iskandar as the sponsor for the first Viper Challenge in the region.

Some 8,500 people from all walks of life including fitness enthusiasts took part in the outdoor obstacle based challenge comprising a 20km path with 20 obstacles designed to test the participants’ physical endurance and teamwork to run, jump, slide, climb and crawl towards the finishing line.

Holding true to Sunway Property campaign creed, ‘Living Sunway, Living Community’, the ‘Sunway Iskandar Viper Challenge @ Medini’ is an effort by the Master Community Developer to nurture a vivacious community within its township in Medini, Johor region whilst promoting healthy lifestyles for the communities.

Sunway Iskandar CEO Gerard Soosay said, “We are proud to host the first Southern Viper Challenge within our township in Iskandar as well as encouraging the community here to live a healthy lifestyle. As a Master Community Developer, our dedication lies in our continuous effort in exploring innovative and meaningful ways for us to better engage the community.”

Commonly held within the Klang Valley and its outskirts, the event is the first Viper Challenge to be organised in Johor. Coupled with Sunway Iskandar’s features comprising of natural and unique terrains with around 700 acres of natural elements such as Emerald Lake, Pendas River, the Straits of Johor as well as opulent greenery and forest, the location is an ideal fit to hold such an event.

Viper Challenge Operations Director, Mr. Simran Latif said, “It is certainly great to see Sunway
Iskandar, one of Medini’s stakeholder to take the lead as the title sponsor for the event. We are very proud to be the first ones to bring this new and exciting concept to Johor which will continuously encourage Malaysians to stay active and keep the sporting and fitness lifestyle industry in Malaysia fresh, new and innovative.”
