Companies are invited to take part in the pre-qualification exercise that would screen contractors eligible to build the ingress and egress of the upcoming Tun Razak Exchange (TRX).
According to the iconic project’s master developer TRX City Sdn Bhd, the development includes the construction of the MEX – TRX Ingress (elevated) and the underground SMART – TRX Ingress and Egress (underground tunnel).
The project will also make improvements along a portion of Jalan Tun Razak (JTR), and involves the construction of the underground JTR – TRX Ingress and Egress (underground tunnel). It also covers landscape work and relocation of utility services, as well as the installation of a flood gate system and traffic management control.
“The TRX project is in full swing and is moving into its next phase of construction,” said TRX City Sdn Bhd’s CEO Datuk Azmar Talib.
“The traffic dispersal system and improvement of roads around the vicinity is a major component to ensure a smooth traffic flow into and out of TRX,” he noted.
Azmar explained that the exercise aims to identify firms qualified to participate in the tender’s next stage.
In line with this, TRX City Sdn Bhd will hold a briefing about the project at the TRX Gallery on 8 June, and companies that want to take part are required to attend.
Those who wish to participate in the tender are requested to submit their completed pre-qualification documents by 12 noon on 1 July, Azmar added.
