Malaysia’s Sunsuria Bhd has teamed up with Taiwan-based Welcome Global Co Ltd for the construction of a Korean-themed integrated project at Sepang in Selangor. Dubbed as Sunsuria Provence Village, this 8.48-acre development will carry a Gross Development Value (GDV) of approximately RM700 million.
Sunsuria Provence Village will comprise of serviced apartments, a wedding house with a themed garden, K-Mall a Korean-inspired shopping centre and a boutique hotel.
“We are confident that this will draw attention not only in Klang Valley populations but also tourists who intend to visit both Xiamen University Malaysia and the upcoming International Outlet Mall in Sunsuria City,” said Dr Yuan Kuo Tung, Chairman of Everrich Group, a fully-owned unit of Welcome Global.
Sunsuria Provence Village is targeted to be unveiled in the year 2017, with K-Mall being the first phase. Spanning approximately 50,000 to 70,000 sq ft, the shopping centre will showcase South Korean merchandise under three segments, namely K-Beauty, K-Fashion and K-Pop.
Hotel Everrich, the boutique hotel of the development, is a boutique hotel chain that started from Ganghwa Island, South Korea. It is expected to have less than 200 rooms.
As for the glass wedding house and themed garden, it will cater to matrimonial celebrations, parties, and other private events.
Sunsuria Provence Village will be located within Sunsuria City.
With the addition of the Korean-themed project which will complement the French design found in Sunsuria City, the area is expected to become a hotspot for those who with to do photoshoots, record videos or film documentaries.
