Entrepreneur Insight, a wholly-owned brand of Armani Media network, played host to the inaugural Malaysian Entrepreneur Convention (MEC 2016) at the Grand Ballroom of Nexus Connexion, Bangsar.

The event bagged the title of ‘Largest Entrepreneur Convention’, awarded by the Malaysian Book of Records. It successfully brought together a total of 3,036 participants under one roof to network and gain valuable insights on their respective fields of interest.

Unlike other gatherings, MEC 2016 is a unique story about Entrepreneurs Growing Entrepreneurs, as reflected in its tagline. In a nutshell, it highlighted the struggles, growth and success stories of fellow Malaysians to Malaysia and the world over.

The event featured the movers and shakers of the local F&B, retail, training, investment, property and digital marketing scene, among others. This included speakers like Freda Liu (Presenter & Producer oBFM Radio), Chris Tan (Managing Partner of Chur Associates), Jeevan Sahadevan (Founder of LeverageLab) and Joel Neoh (Founder of KFit).

There were also lively panel discussions that involved personalities like Professor Dato’ Michael Tio (CEO & Managing Director  of PKT Logistics), Benjamin Yong (Founder & Group Chief Eating Officer of the Big Group), Anabelle Co-Martinent (Founder of La Juiceria) and others to  discuss hot topics like digital marketing, mentorship, growing and closing sales, and surviving through tough times.

The event also saw the launch of the EI Club by Entrepreneur Insight, which serves as a platform that engages and enriches local entrepreneurs.
