The highly anticipated third annual South East Asia Property Awards (Malaysia) 2016 is just around the corner as the official list of nominees for the award was announced today.
This prestigious award show in Malaysia commenced in the year 2013 and has identified and honoured many deserving property players to date. Now, South East Asia Property Awards (Malaysia) 2016 has returned for a third consecutive year, organised by PropertyGuru Group – Asia’s leading property portal.
Genting Property is among the developers to outperform this year and was nominated in several categories. The firm also has two of its projects nominated for the same category and will be competing against each other for the Best Housing Development (South Malaysia).
Besides that, prominent developers namely Sime Darby Property Berhad, United Malayan Land Berhad (UMLand) and Pacific Star Group have clinched three nominations each. Meanwhile, the winners of Highly Commended for the Best Developer 2015, Sime Darby and UMLand, have also been shortlisted this year.
According to Jones Lang Wootton executive director and the chairman of this year’s central panel of judges Prem Kumar, this award honours the year’s best properties and investments, which have gone beyond mere financial gains and specific traits relevant to the difference and improvement it has created in the property industry.
“To date, SEAPA Malaysia have gathered our country’s promising and emerging property players, despite the hurdles the property sector has witnessed in the past years. PropertyGuru is thrilled to be a part of this prestigious award,” said PropertyGuru Group country manager Sheldon Fernandez.
In addition to the 15 award categories, the Real Estate Personality of the Year accolade will also be presented during the gala dinner. This is the only award on the day which will not be decided by the panel of judges, but by the editors of industry-leading Property Report magazine.
