Bangkok’s Most Expensive Penthouses Break Real Estate Record

Four Seasons Private Residence has made waves and set records since it was launched early in 2015. Country Group Development, the company behind the project, recently put six penthouses up for sale with prices starting at THB315 million (USD9.12 million). This now makes the units the most expensive penthouses in Bangkok.

Located along Chao Phraya River, the project will stand 73-stories tall and contain 303 units. Local media reported that the six penthouses will measure 1,050 sqm each and have a number of luxurious amenities. The developer also claims that the views from the penthouse will be some of the best in Bangkok offering residents an unprecedented look out over the famed river.

Andy Miller and Richard Scott are the master planners and architects for the project, which is scheduled to be completed in 2018. In addition to appealing to local buyers, units have already been shown at roadshows in Hong Kong and Singapore.

“After undertaking extensive relocation efforts and securing one of Bangkok’s last remaining undeveloped large parcels of riverside land in the central business district, our aim is to create a meaningful luxury experience unmatched in the market,” Ben Taechaubol, CEO of Country Group Development said in a press release.

“By that I mean luxury that stands for something, sets a new benchmark and serves a purpose; luxury with a sense of place, a place in history and an important part to play in illuminating the future.”

This relegates the penthouses at 185 Rajadamri to the second most expensive units in Bangkok. There are currently five penthouse units available at the 35-storey development that is located across from the Royal Bangkok Sports Club. A unit costs THB273 million (USD7.81 million) and measures 782 sqm.

PACE Development’s Nimit Luangsuan is home to Bangkok’s third most expensive penthouses. Each of the five penthouses is priced at THB250 million (USD7.15 million) and boasts 617 sqm.

Unfortunately, the Four Seasons Private Residence does not boast the highest penthouse price per sqm. That honour goes to the Diplomat 39, a condominium project currently being built along Phrom Phong. The price there is THB411,111 (USD11,757) per sqm or THB185 million (USD5.29 million) per unit.
