Holding the prestige of one of Malaysia’s leading developers, the Sunway Group is a combination of property, retail, leisure, education, hospitality, healthcare and construction sectors among others.

As a result of their diversity in business, the Sunway Group brought into being the now renowned Sunway City township – a combination of shopping mall, education hubs, housing developments and healthcare centres. Following their success of Sunway City, the Sunway Group has extended their developments to not just the Klang Valley, but also to the states of Ipoh, Penang, and Johor.

As of the year 2017, Sunway Group’s next biggest visionary development is Sunway Iskandar in Johor, envisioned to be the group’s second Sunway City. This latest development will be located within the prestigious township of Iskandar Puteri – the newly developed planned township in the city of Johor Bahru.

Sunway Iskandar will span 1,800 acres of land, and house themed hotels, a themed mall, themed park, an education centre, medical park and various residential developments. Practicing a healthy balance, 70% of Sunway Iskandar will comprise of residential developments and the remaining 30% of commercial developments.

The first launch of Sunway Iskandar, the already completed Citrine Collection in The Lakeview precinct, was fully sold out with the anchor tenant of the retail component development confirmed to be Jaya Grocer. Also completed and launched on 16th January 2017 is the township’s Sunway Iskandar International School which covers pre-school right up to grade 12.

The current launch that can be found in Sunway Iskandar is the Grid, which carries the Sunway Group’s trademark quality of homes. The Grid will be a mixed development, comprising shops, offices and residences. There will be no foreigner ownership restrictions on selected homes at the Grid.

Aside from the amenities already provided within the township, Sunway Iskandar will also be surrounded by the early catalysts of Iskandar Puteri – Legoland, Pinewood Iskandar Malaysia Studios and Educity – which comprises of the famous Marlborough College, Raffles American School, Raffles University Iskandar, University of Reading and the Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia among others.

Sunway Iskandar is conveniently located close to everything via a network of highways. Aside from Pinewood Iskandar Malaysia Studios being only 3km away, Legoland, Hello Kitty Town and Puteri Harbour are only 6km away. The gateway to Singapore via the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link is only 5km away, and Educity at 8km.

Due to its easy connectivity to Singapore, Sunway Iskandar is also deemed by many to be the future home of Singaporeans who wish to live across the border. Designed to be a development that spans the ages and improves with time, Sunway Iskandar will enjoy easy access to the upcoming Rail Transit System (RTS) and the also upcoming High Speed Rail (HSR) which will allow for improved accessibility to Singapore – eliminating the need to be caught in the daily peak traffic congestion.

Sunway Iskandar is envisioned to be a nature-encompassed development, as portrayed by its tagline Nature’s Capital City. It is idealised to be a township where contemporariness and timelessness merge, a combination of sophistication and simplicity. As a township that embraces nature, 40% of the township’s 1,800 acres will comprise of greenery. The development will be interconnected within via water bodies, green corridors, eco parks and green pockets of nature.

Fully designed to be a nature-inspired development, the logo of Sunway Iskandar portrays the flow of the development perfectly. The six different precincts of residential and commercial developments are skilfully melded together in a flowing sphere of connectivity, nature and development. Organically designed, traversing within the township on foot will be very viable.

For buyers whose concerns is the safety of this large development, Sunway Iskandar will have among the best security in town. As stated by the developer, Sunway has one of the largest security force and auxiliary police in the country.

As of 2017, the renowned Sunway City in the Klang Valley has a total of 2,047 CCTV cameras in the township, and the township also enjoys the facilities of 24-hour security force patrol by the Sunway auxiliary police, alongside the Royal Malaysian police force (PDRM). Poised to be the successor of Sunway City, Sunway Iskandar will enjoy the same high level of security.

Sunway Iskandar is the creation of a Golden Triangle in Johor Bahru with its world class entertainment facilities, medical institutions and education hubs. It will enjoy a Gross Development Value (GDV) of over RM30 billion, and will be a masterpiece of low density nature inspired development.
