Fire at Tropicana's Construction Site Under Control, No Casualties Reported

Property developer, Tropicana Corporation Berhad (“Tropicana”) confirmed yesterday that a fire occurred at approximately 2.10 p.m. at the construction site of Tropicana Gardens. There were no casualties reported and the fire was under control within an hour.

Bomba and Occupational Safety and Health Department were immediately notified of the incident while detailed investigations are still ongoing. The project and consultant team are currently assessing the situation and are working closely with the relevant authorities.

Public safety is Tropicana’s top priority and the company will ensure that the consultants, as well as contractors engaged for the project, adhere strictly to the highest safety standards during construction. Work has been ceased pending further consultants review.
